Open Position: Transition Instructor
Washington High School (Cherokee) and MMCRU school district, are searching for a candidate with a strong desire to work collaboratively with high school students, their parents, schools, Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services staff and local businesses to develop employability skills in high school students. Interested candidates should possess positive interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently using problem-solving skills to address unique transition issues for high school students. Interested candidates will serve the school districts of: Cherokee and Marcus-Meriden- Cleghorn-Remsen-Union and work collaboratively with Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services. A background in job coaching, education and/or social work are preferable but not required. This is a full-time position that is split between the two school districts.
