MMCRU CURRICULUM

At MMCRU, student success starts with clear, rigorous learning expectations. The Iowa Core defines what students should know in math, science, English language arts, and social studies, from kindergarten through 12th grade, while also emphasizing key 21st-century skills such as financial and technological literacy.

The Iowa Core provides consistent learning goals for all districts across the state. It guides local schools and teachers as they design instruction and choose the best methods and materials to support student learning. These standards provide all students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in college, careers, and adult life.

For more information about the Iowa Core, please visit the Iowa Department of Education’s Iowa Core website.

High-Quality Instructional Materials

High-Quality Instructional Materials are teaching resources that have been proven through research to help students learn effectively. They are well-organized, aligned to state standards, and designed to support students at different learning levels so all students can grow and succeed

At MMCRU, High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) are carefully selected to help teachers support student learning. These materials are regularly reviewed and updated to ensure they continue to meet the evolving needs of students in our district so that all students are college, career, and future ready.
